New Boots

Skylee found my boots in my closet and decided she wanted to wear them. She was so excited that she was wearing "mommy's boots" that she didn't want to take them off. She walked around in them for about 15 minutes laughing and saying "silly Skylee" the whole time.

Accidents Happen

On the ride home from my parent's house on Easter night, Skylee started yelling that she pee'd and needed a new diaper...which she normally doesn't do. So we decided that maybe it was an emergency so we pulled over and sure enough, she was soaked! So we changed her diaper in the back of the X5 and then headed home. The bad thing was we didn't have a change of clothes for her so she had to ride home pretty much naked...all she had on was her diaper. She thought it was funny and said that she looked silly. I'm glad she was a good sport about it because we were still about 30 minutes from home.

Happy Easter!

Easter was a fun day for Skylee. The Easter Bunny left Easter baskets for her everywhere...at home (Hurley got an Easter Basket too), at both grandparent's houses, and even one at Chris's mom's house (thanks Trish!). She even got to go on a couple more Easter egg hunts. By the end of the day, once her sugar high wore off, Skylee crashed.

Fun Easter Egg Hunts

We t0ok Skylee to the West Point City Easter egg hunt this morning. She was excited and had fun, but there were so many kids that she only got about 6 eggs and the whole thing was over in about 30 seconds. So we decided to do another Easter egg hunt with her friend Jett so they could actually run around and pick up more than 6 eggs. They both had a blast and filled up their baskets. We also did an Easter egg hunt for Hurley and her puppy friends (Jett's puppies). We filled up eggs with dog treats and let them go at it. They seemed to have fun getting the treats out of the eggs...spoiled dogs!

Coloring Easter Eggs

This was Skylee's first time coloring Easter eggs. She was so excited, and it was a fun way for her to practice her colors.

Kaisyn's Nursery

Well, Kaisyn's nursery is done and ready to go. Justyn insisted that yellow was a girl color so he had to re-paint it a more boyish color. It turned out really cute! It's nice that we already had everything and the paint was the only thing we needed to change. It's amazing how much difference just a simple change in paint color makes.

Surprise!

The Young Women and the leaders surprised me last night with a baby shower. I had no idea and was very surprised when I walked in. I just thought I was going to a normal Wednesday night activity and surprise... It was so nice and thoughtful of them and the shower was tons of fun! They even made Kaisyn a cute quilt and a cake made of diapers.

Big Boy!

We had a Dr. Appointment this morning and got to do an ultrasound to see how big Kaisyn is getting. I am almost 33 weeks along now, however Kaisyn was measuring 34-36 weeks along! He currently weighs 5 1/2 pounds and will gain 1/2 pound a week from here on out, which puts him on track to weigh 8 1/2 - 9 pounds when he is born (supposing we make it to 39 weeks). What a big boy! I'm kinda glad I'm having a c-section :) Here is a first glimpse of what Kaisyn looks like. As you can see (and as I can constantly feel) he's very active and playful. His leg is up over his head in one of the pictures.

Welcome to Kaisyn's Blog

Welcome to the future home of Kaisyn's blog. In about 7 weeks he will be here and we will all finally get to meet him...We are so excited! Check back in the next couple of weeks to see pictures of his nursery.

Potty Training

So I am attempting to potty train Skylee. She hasn't been interested at all for a couple months now so I decided to buy her a seat that goes on the "big potty". She's been pretty excited about it, but still a little apprehensive and scared. She will actually sit on the potty now though, and she even pee'd once so that is definitely a start. I also have a basket of "potty prizes" for when she actually goes so I think that helps her want to try. So we will see how this goes. I'd like her to have it down pretty good before "baby brother" (still no name, but we are leaning towards Kaisyn I think) gets here in about 7 weeks...Yikes! That's soon!

Busted

I caught Skylee and Jett trying to cuddle under the blanket on the couch...they are a little too young for that don't you think? Hehehehehehe...I was watching Jett one day and they were laying on the couch watching a movie. They are so cute and get along so well.
