At the Pool

Here we are at the pool. It was really fun. We packed a lunch so we got to have a picnic at the pool. Then when we were done eating, we got to go swimming. I cried a little bit at first because the water was kind of cold, but once I was used to it I had a blast. I was splashing and kicking and trying to blow bubbles (but I mostly just drank the water when I tried to do that). It was really hot today so swimming felt so nice and was so fun! It really wore me out though. I was falling asleep as soon as we got out of the pool and mommy and daddy put dry clothes on me. I went home and took a nice long nap.

I'm Going Swimming!

Mommy and Daddy are taking me swimming today. I'm so excited because I get to wear my new swimming suit...and I love to swim. When mommy got me dressed I was so excited I was running all over the place being silly and doing "somersaults".

What a Climber

Skylee has become quite the climber. She loves to climb on anything she can (and even things she can't)...chairs, couches, stairs, cabinets, mommy, etc. Her newest climbing triumph was climbing up onto her excer-saucer. She was so proud of herself.

What a Mess!

I am so busy and very good at making messes. My attention span isn't very long so when I get bored with one mess, I move on to making a new and more exciting mess. Sometimes Mommy can't keep up with me and the messes I make, but I think it is fun! This is one of my favorite messes to make...pulling all of my toys out of my toy cabinet. That's why they are there...right?

I'm 18 Months Old!

I'm 18 months old now (or a year and a half...whichever way you want to say it) and I'm so grown up. Mommy says that I don't look like a baby anymore, that I look like a little girl now. I have now mastered walking and am learning to run...which I love to do all of the time. I also love climbing on anything I can...especially stairs. I love to talk and can say and sign so many words now. I can't talk in sentences yet but between the words I know and the signs I know, I can communicate pretty well. I love to imitate people and I love to "help" mommy and daddy do whatever they are doing. I also really love to make people laugh whether it be by pulling faces, being silly or a combination of the two. I am a great dancer and love to dance any chance I get. Sometimes I really get my whole body into it and that always makes everyone laugh. I'm now old enough to go to nursery at church and I love it. It is a lot more fun than going to mommy and daddy's boring classes with them. Mommy and Daddy have been counting down the days...now they don't have to chase me all over the church anymore (except for in sacrament meeting). I'm growing and learning so fast...before you know it, I'll be 2! (Mommy says that is scary...I don't know why though. Look at what a sweetie I am!).

4th of July Parade

We went to the 4th of July Parade at Layton Park. I had so much fun waving at all of the people in the parade and picking up candy that they threw to me. I also loved dancing whenever there was music in the parade. There were horsies in the parade too and I got so excited and wanted to go pet them but I couldn't get too close.

I Love Bike Rides!

Mommy and Daddy got me this cool seat that attaches to their bike so we can all go on bike rides together. It is so much fun!

Good Helper

Here I am hanging out with mommy and daddy at Syracuse Heritage Days. We had a SkyBou booth there and I was a big helper. I was supposed to stay in the booth but there was too much to see and do so I ran around all over the place advertising with my cute SkyBou t-shirt. It was fun, but I don't think mommy and daddy liked chasing me down every two seconds.

Such a Big Girl

I got my very own big-girl potty! I don't use it yet but I'm learning what it's all about. Look at me...just like daddy!

Yay!!! I Love the Zoo!

We went to the Zoo and I had so much fun. All of the animals were really active, which was really neat because most of the time they are all lazy and sleeping. I now know the signs for puppy, kitty, bird, cow, and horse so I saw lots of puppy's and birds (the signs I know best) :) We got to see the white crocodile, which was pretty weird. I think my favorite animals of the day were the giraffe's, who came right over to us, and the duckies that were roaming around freely. There was a mommy duck and all of her babies...they were so fluffy and cute!
