5 Months Old

Kaisyn is growing up so fast! He is 5 months old now, and cute as ever. He is so happy and almost always smiling. He is talking like crazy, and grabs anything within reach, which goes directly to his mouth. He can roll over, but doesn't do it very often yet. He likes to be on his back. He is eating some solids (mainly rice cereal) now, about once a day, and seems to like it better each time he eats it. He loves his big sister so much (which is good because she is constantly in his face, hugging, or kissing him) and is always watching and laughing at her. She can get him laughing so hard...it's really cute. I can't believe how fast 5 months have gone by, and how fast my baby boy is growing and changing. He is at such a fun age. Oh, and I think his big blue eyes are here to stay...they are as blue as ever. They are so beautiful with his long eye lashes.

Kaisyn's 1st Tailgating Experience

We decided it would be fun to tailgate before the Utah - Weber State football game. We've never tailgated before, but it turned out really fun...and the Utes won! Go Utes!!!

Reading to Kaisyn

Skylee loves her little brother so much, and loves to read to him and tell him stories...which he loves. One day Skylee decided to read Kaisyn a book on the couch, and I thought it was so cute the way Kaisyn was leaning her.

Kaisyn's Yellowstone Vacation

Kaisyn did great on vacation, despite being in his car seat A LOT. He was so happy most of the time, which we were all thankful for. It would have been a lot less fun to have a screaming baby in the car. Here are some pictures from various locations during our trip. As you can see, he experienced most of the vacation in his car seat...he didn't seem to mind though.

Bear World

On the way to Yellowstone, we stopped at Bear World and it was amazing. We saw so many bears, and so close up. I was nervous a few times that they were going to climb on the car! They were seriously within arms reach at times. It was so neat. In addition to driving through and seeing all the bears, we walked through the petting zoo, which Skylee (and Justyn loved). We got to pet goats, a potbelly pig, and deer. The deer were so friendly and would come right up to you. They were pretty cute. Skylee also got to ride on some fun little kids rides, which I think was her favorite part. She would have gone on the rides all day long if we would have let her.

Yellowstone

We spent 2 nights in West Yellowstone and had 2 days to see the sights in Yellowstone National Park. It was really fun...we saw lots of animals, which Skylee loved. She didn't love the geysers though...she thought they were stinky and was scared of the steam.

Jackson

On the way to Jackson Hole, we stopped at Jackson Lake Lodge to eat lunch and see some moose. Lunch was yummy as always, but the moose were missing :( The tetons looked pretty cool in the dark clouds though. We had fun in Jackson Hole too, even though it was pretty rainy.

Dress Up

Skylee loves to dress up. Here she is looking very pretty in some cute stuff that Grandma Sodja gave her.
