Worn Out!

Skylee claims that she doesn't need a nap, and that she HATES naps, and WILL NOT go down for a nap. It kind of looks like there are days that she still needs to take a nap. The other day she was playing in her room and I noticed it was very QUIET so I went in to check on her and this is what I found.

Kaisyn's 1st Easter

Kaisyn didn't have quite as much fun as his big sister, but he seemed to really enjoy picking up Easter Eggs and emptying out his Easter Basket. He was such a handsome little man in his Easter shirt & tie...I just wish I could have gotten a good picture of him and Skylee. She was either being silly, or he was crying...oh well. Oh, and watch the video of the "game" Kaisyn discovered with the Easter Eggs...it's cute!

Easter Time!

Easter started for Skylee the day before when she woke up running around the house looking for the Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny was supposed to leave. I don't know why she thought that day was Easter, but she was pretty crushed when we told her that the Easter Bunny wasn't coming for another day. So despite the huge disappointment that started Skylee's "Easter Eve Day", we had a pretty fun day. We went to the West Point City Easter Egg Hunt (which lasted all of about 30 seconds) with Jett, then we came home and colored Easter Eggs, then Skylee went to another Easter Egg Hunt with her good friends Harlee & Preslie, then we had an Easter Egg Hunt in our front yard with Jett. And after all that...Aunt Haylee and Uncle Chris came over for dinner and Skylee made Haylee decorate Easter Eggs with her...and do about a million puzzles with her :) Easter day was a lot of fun too. Skylee was excited and relieved to wake up to a living room full of Easter Eggs, and a pretty full Easter Basket that the Easter Bunny hid for her. Then we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Sodja, where there was another Easter Egg Hunt...and another Easter Basket for the kids. Then we ended the day at Grandma & Grandpa Boudreau's house where we ate a yummy Easter dinner, and once again the Easter Bunny left the kids an Easter Basket full of treats and toys. So it was a busy, but fun couple of days. I think Skylee's favorite part was the Easter Egg Hunts. She even made us hide the eggs again yesterday for her to find, and I'm sure she will want to do it again today :)

11 Months Old

Can you believe that in a couple weeks Kaisyn will be 1 ?!?! I can't!! My baby boy isn't a baby anymore. He's turning into a handsome little boy. He's crawling like crazy, and starting to pull himself up to standing. He's so busy he's losing some babyfat and starting to thin out. He's understanding more and more, and is trying so hard to spit that first word out (which I think is already dada). He can almost say ball too, and if you tell him to go get the ball he will. Kaisyn loves his big sister and loves to laugh with her and chase her. It's so fun to watch them play (as long as Skylee is playing nice), and they make me laugh every day. He finally had his first (and only) tooth pop through, and he survived a serious 2 week battle with Croup, which wasn't fun for anybody. I can't believe that a year ago I was huge and fat and wishing every day that Kaisyn would get here...and now my little buddy is almost 1! How time flies!

Surf & Swim

Kaisyn's experience at Surf & Swim wasn't as joyful as Skylee's. He did not love it at all. He was scared of the water at first and cried, then when he was finally in the water he was cold. He was shivering so hard we gave up and he spent most his time wrapped up in a cozy towel. Oh well...it was still a fun night!

We got invited to a birthday party at Surf & Swim, and Skylee was soooooo excited to finally get to go swimming (Vegas swimming fell through because the pool was FREEZING). She had a BLAST and loved riding on the tube with Harlee & Preslie.
