Happy Birthday Skylee!!

Well I can't believe it...Skylee is 2! She is growing up so fast...she is talking like crazy and doing things that amaze us every day. She is very happy, busy, curious, silly, and full of energy. She likes to make people laugh and be the center of attention. She is really into Elmo, drawing and coloring, dancing, and singing (she got a "Sing Along Elmo" with a microphone and she has been singing for us all day). She's becoming more independent every day, which makes some things a challenge (like getting dressed, brushing teeth, washing hands, etc) because she wants to do things by herself. She is definitely learning her likes and dislikes, and is becoming a VERY picky eater...which is driving mommy nuts! We are currently trying to get her potty trained, and that is a huge challenge. She'll sit on the potty but then gets scared and jumps off and says "NO". At least she tries...we'll get there (hopefully before baby brother gets here).

Some Fun New Toys!

I got so many fun new toys at my birthday party so thank you everyone! Here I am trying some of them out. I even got my own set of tools...now I can help daddy with all of his projects!

What a Party!

Skylee's about to turn 2 and we had a fun party for her on Saturday at Hungry Bear Pizza. Skylee's Grandma's and Grandpa's were there, and lots of her cute little friends. There was tons of yummy pizza and pasta, and of course birthday cake. Thank you all for coming and for all of the nice gifts. Skylee loved everything that she got...and had a blast opening all of the presents.

Christmas Day

Christmas day was a busy but fun day. We woke up and opened our presents from Santa (Skylee must have been really good because Santa spoiled her), then had breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Boudreau, then went to Christmas lunch, then went to visit Great Grandpa Barker, then went to Grandma and Grandpa Sodja's house. So much running around but Skylee had a very fun day, and loved opening all of her presents. Some of Skylee's highlight presents...a kitchen set, a kids Dyson vacuume (yes a Dyson), TMX Elmo, her new baby (cabbage patch doll) and her U of U football. By the end of the day we were all exhausted. I can't believe that another Christmas has come and gone!

Zoo Lights

We went to see the Christmas lights at the Zoo. This is the first year that they have done the "Zoo Lights" and it was pretty neat. It was REALLY cold (around 20 degrees) but we still had fun. Skylee really loves Christmas lights so she had a blast. There weren't many animals out but we saw a few...they were mostly sleeping though. We did see a "headless" turkey though. I guess the Turkeys sleep with their heads tucked under their wings to keep warm. It looks pretty bizarre!

Fun in the Snow

We got to go tubing at Soldier Hollow for Justyn's work Christmas Party. Justyn was the only one who actually went down the hill (Skylee was too young and I was too pregnant) but Skylee and I had fun playing in the snow. It was her first real snow experience and she thought it was pretty neat. She took to it right away and loved playing with snowballs and walking in it. She also has a pretty awesome snowboard stance as you can see in a couple of the pictures. It came natural to her...I didn't tell her to stand like that she just started doing it. I'm excited to get her boarding next year :) I think her favorite part was being pulled around in the tube. Justyn got her going pretty fast and she would squeal and yell and laugh.
