We got invited to Kaisyn's little buddy Drake's 2nd birthday party and the kids had a BLAST! There were games, climbing, bouncing, scooters, food, cake, and fun, fun, fun!
This post is long over-due since Skylee got this cute dress for Christmas from her Aunt Karen...I just kept forgetting to take a picture of Skylee wearing it...sorry :) Anyway, here it is. She LOVES this dress because it's got purple in it, which seems to be her favorite color lately.
I LOVE IT! I've never had a brand new car before...once again Justyn has spoiled me :)
We decided that since Kaisyn is almost 2 and he is capable of climbing out of his crib that it was time to get him a "big boy bed". I was nervous that this would cause him to not sleep as well, or decide he was too big for naps but he has handled it really well. He loves his new bed and all of the cars and trucks that are on it, and he thinks he is so big now that he can get in and out of bed all by himself. My little man is growing up way too fast!
We signed Skylee up for a basketball class through Clearfield City so she could start learning how to "hoop it up". She was so excited, and LOVED it! She was also the only girl in the class...that's my girl, whoopin' up on all the boys :)
Today was Justyn's birthday (Happy Birthday Babe!) and it turned out to be a pretty good day. He didn't have to work too much so we got to go to lunch while Skylee was in school, which was really fun. He got spoiled with lots of nice gifts, and Skylee even made him a birthday cake (pretend out of her kitchen). The funny thing is, her cake turned out better than my cake...which turned into a total DISASTER. Here is the story...we have a cake mold for a "giant cupcake" and Justyn's request was just the top of the cupcake. I thought easy enough...but apparently only filling half of the mold doesn't work too well. It ended up tipping over and spilling cake batter all over the oven, which burned and caused our house to STINK like burnt cake all day. So luckily our nice friends made Justyn a birthday cake :)
Justyn found CHEAP airfare to Vegas ($25 each way) so we decided to take another trip to Sin City. We went with some good friends which made the trip soooooo much fun...and to top it all off...NO KIDS! We were only gone for 2 1/2 days but we did a lot and had a blast! Lot's of shopping and good food, and we went to the Beatles Love Cirque De Sole show which was AMAZING! I didn't take as many pics as I wanted to but we will always have some funny memories of the trip...like "Big Pimpin" in our sweet Escalade (Justyn would turn Jay-Z's Big Pimpin on every time we got in the car...it turned into the trips theme song), and Justyn climbing onto a big seahorse statue in an attempt to ride it while we were waiting for valet to bring us our car.
Here are a few pics of the kids since I haven't blogged since Skylee's birthday. Skylee and Kaisyn are getting to the point where they actually get along and play really cute together (most of the time). It's so nice...and fun to see Kais follow his big sis around. He has even tackled Skylee a few times (in fun), and got mad at her and actually pushed her over which she did not like AT ALL...I had to turn around and laugh though because we have all warned her that one day Kaisyn would be able to fight back and she never believed us. After-all, he only weighs 8 pounds less than her! They really are buddies though and it's cute. Oh, and the pic of Kais sleeping was pretty funny so I thought I would post it. He was hanging out with daddy in the office right around nap time and got so tired he just couldn't stay awake...so he fell asleep standing up!
