Syracuse Days Parade and Carnival

We went to the Syracuse Days parade and Carnival on Saturday. Skylee was a pro at picking up the parade candy and filled up her bag. After the parade, we went to the carnival and Skylee got to go on the giant blow up slide with Justyn, and the cute kids train. Then we walked around looking at all the booths and ate a yummy navajo taco for lunch. We all had a lot of fun despite the heat.

Such a Girly-Girl

Here is Skylee in her "big girl shoes" (Justyn calls them her stripper shoes but we won't use that term around her or she will for sure call them that...she mimicks everything). She loves clomping around in them. She is so girly with her heels and her princess dress, and all the bracelets and necklaces that she loves. Yet, she still loves sports and wearing her football and basketball jerseys. She's going to be a girly tom-boy. I'm glad that she is both...girly and sporty.

Yay, the Zoo!

Skylee has been wanting to go to the Zoo for about 2 weeks now...everyday it's "mommy, I want to go to the Zoo!" So we decided to finally taker her and she had a blast. She could name most of the animals (and their poop..."look daddy, Zebra poop"), and loved the train and carousel rides. She could have ridden the carousel all day long. She also loved the playground with the slippery slide. She is at such a fun, interactive age and she is so interested in learning about everything. It was fun to see her have so much fun learning about the Zoo and all of the animals. She didn't want to leave and almost through a fit when it was time to go, so we will definitely be going back soon (we have a zoo membership so we will probably go back often).

First Trip to the Zoo

Kaisyn's first Zoo experience was pretty un-eventful for him. He pretty much just slept and ate. He did explode out of his diaper though, which was awesome timing on his part. It was seriously the messiest diaper he has had so far. There was Kaisyn poop everywhere, including all over mommy's leg (I was holding him while I ate lunch). Luckily, I had put an extra onsie in the diaper bag. He was a good baby though and didn't fuss too much despite the heat.

2 Months Old

Well, Kaisyn is 2 months old already and I can't believe it. He is growing and changing so fast, and he is by no means a little baby anymore (he was never really little). He had his 2 month appointment yesterday and he weighed 15.5 pounds (99 percentile) and was 25 inches long (96 percentile). No wonder he makes my arm so tired when I am lugging him around. He is definitely built like his daddy! It is funny though, and so different than what we are used to because Skylee didn't even weigh 15 pounds until she was about 6 months old, and she only weighs 29 pounds now. At this rate Kaisyn is going to catch up to her by the time he is 1...hahahaha. Oh well...it is so cute for a boy. He is also pretty much sleeping through the night now...going 6-8 hours once we put him to bed. It is AWESOME! He is still eating every 2-4 hours during the day though, but I'd much rather feed him that much during the day than at night. He is awake more during the day now, taking 1 good nap in the morning and 1 good one in the afternoon, with a couple little naps here and there. When he is awake he likes to watch his mobiles, make cute baby noises, suck on his hands, and listen to mommy and daddy talk to him. He recognizes Skylee now, and he usually smiles when he sees her, even though she is usually smothering him with hugs and kisses. He is smiling a lot now (I think he's really close to starting to laugh), which is adorable and he is getting really good at holding his head up. I can't believe how fast he is changing and growing. He's turning into such a cute little boy...and yes, his eyes are still bright blue!

Handsome in Flowers

Kaisyn is ready for summer in his blue floral shirt. The blue really brought out the color of his eyes...what a handsome little man!

Ready to Go Swimming

We took Kaisyn swimming for the first time last week. He didn't swim much, but he looked pretty cute. He mainly just ate and slept, and cried a little too. We did get in the water with him for a few minutes and he cried at first but then didn't mind it. It will be more fun for Kaisyn and mommy in a few months when he doesn't need to eat as often, but Skylee and daddy had a blast!

A Cute Little Princess

Whenever Skylee plays at her friends house, they all dress up in princess dresses and princess shoes and run around screaming (which gives us an idea of what future sleep overs will be like...yikes!). But Skylee loves the princess dresses and wanted one of her own so daddy brought one home for her one day. Skylee was so excited and loves wearing it. It's actually a nightgown, but to Skylee it's her princess dress.

Big Sister...Little Brother

Skylee and Kaisyn got these cute shirts from Grandma and Grandpa Boudreau when Kaisyn was born. They looked so cute in them together that we had to get a picture.

What a Cute Pair!

Skylee loves to get her picture taken, especially if it is with Kaisyn. We were able to get a perfect smile from both of them...which turned out adorable. It's hard to get both of them to smile and look at the camera at the same time so it was pretty lucky.
